| - Ok, so I've tried this place several times (Bell & Grande). As another reviewer mentioned, Daryl was great! I totally agree with that and she cut both of my daughters' hair. Loved her. I do not think she is there anymore. There was also Lizzy, she was awesome too. I believe she must have moved on to a 'real' salon.
Now, the bad news... no one else there is any good. I took my girls in about 2 months ago because the girl we normally go to (at a 'real' salon) was on maternity leave. I just got home from taking my oldest to get her haircut and our girl said that her hair was totally crooked... which I could tell by looking at it. Ugh.
I have one daughter with straight hair, how do you possibly cut it crooked when it's straight? But whatevs... Now my other daughter has super curly hair... I can tell her hair is cut crooked as well.
Why didn't I take them back and let them attempt to fix it? Well, because they didn't want to end up with bobs.
My youngest also had her haircut by this one girl who had dark long hair and tattoos (and the only reason I mention her tats) is to describe her, not to judge her...I also have tats)... daughter2 said that she huffed and puffed the whole time. And don't get me started on how horribly awful her 'bangs' were... if you could call them that. No texture, just some weird blunt cut that I could have done with my eyes closed. Her hair is curly, you can't just lop them off in a straight line! Ugh...
So, you've been warned. And I will stick to my rule of thumb for stylists... if their hair sucks... RUN (don't walk) run out of the door. If their hair sucks... yours will too!!!
Oh, and yea, I made an appointment once with Lizzy... they called to confirm. I showed up, no Lizzy. Hmmm...
