  • Spectacular experience here with one of my BFFs celebrating our November b-days. We came early and sat on the patio. My friend travels to Kauai regularly for work and of course eats a lot of great sushi there. A sushi chef she met in Kauai suggested we try Roka Akor. Me: Chef nigiri 7pc selection, and the wild mushroom pot Her: Poke chirashi and Dynamite Scallop roll We were both blown away with the freshness of the fish, presentation, authenticity and overall quality being top notch. They serve the REAL wasabi, which is a must for an self respecting authentic sushi restaurant. Wild mushroom pot was like an incredibly tasty comfort food (must search for a recipe) When I booked my reservation on OpenTable, I mentioned it was both of our birthdays and we got complimentary ice cream/sorbets with fresh fruit. Perfect ending to a perfect meal. I seriously cannot wait to come back here, I would put my faith in the Chef Deluxe Sushi Platter (his choice served at market price) or even the Omakase.
