  • I will bypass the ambiance talk since other yelpers have definitely covered all the bases from the cool entrance, to the mobster pictures on the wall, the gangster movies on in the background, and the Frank Sinatra-like singer. My husband and I had a great time at Capo's. We made reservations (which I highly recommend) for 7 p.m. on a Friday night. We got there a 1/2 hour early not knowing how long the drive would take and am I glad we made reservations - the place was packed this night! No biggie - we sat at the bar and waited. We hit it just right because happy hour was from 5-7 p.m. and I had the best martini of my life for half off! The Domitini (martini) was amazing and my husband said the gin and tonic was great too. We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms at the happy hour rate and we were really pleased. The host waited for us to finish our drinks and appetizer before coming over to seat us. It was nice not to be rushed through or have to juggle drinks and a plate all the way to our table. And it's not like they weren't busy and could have pushed us along, but the whole focus at Capo's was about customer service. Probably the best service I've had in my life. When we got to our table, we were immediately given fresh bread and butter and glasses of water. The bread was so delicious it was hard not to fill up on just that. The waiter was really pleasant and equally attentive. We never had empty glasses and services never lagged. My husband got the Uncle Pauly's Arrabiata and I got the Chef Sleeps with the Fishes. The Arrabiata was pretty spicy, so if you like spicy make sure to tell them only medium spicy otherwise you may not enjoy it as much. My dinner was excellent. The flavors were really amazing; the play between the sun-dried tomatoes and cream and prosciutto was pretty amazing. what made this so good was that you could tell the pasta was homemade and fresh. It really added to the dish. To finish we got the chocolate covered cannolis, which we delicious. They were on par with connolis I got in Boston in Little Italy. Freshly-made just like everything else they serve, it was the perfect ending at a great restaurant. When we left, I told the host that the reviews didn't do the place justice and he was genuinely pleased. I look forward to coming back to capo's on our next Vegas trip.
