  • Getting in touch with the Oriental side of my heritage, a few folks from Vancity (ex-GTA'ers) decided to hit up a local karaoke bar that's been in this plaza for years as I can recall. Right across from Menchies, is Encore. Its stairwell leads to an open corridor area where there are numerous of karaoke rooms where people can host small private karaoke parties. Its had not to take notice of all the brightly light halls with strobe lights, etc. Almost felt like I was at a club. The room we had was enough to fit 15-20 people with dice games already available for those who were up for a few drinking games...the name of the game... i forgot. All i know is the service was quite exceptional. Food was okay... basic wings and fries. They also had bottle service available with your choice of juices, etc. Choice of music was mediocre, however when you're with great company its all about the interaction that counts. The venue was presentable, spacious and clean. overall a 3/5
