  • I don't live in Charlotte but if this is the best Mexican in town I feel sorry for you all. Nothing bad but nothing great either. Overall Meh and a little pricey. The Yelp reviews fooled me- normally they are spot on. The jalapeño cucumber margarita was good. Not very spicy however. The no name margarita was gross. I would have been angry if it wasn't on special for $5. Overly sweet and week. The volcano dip was just okay. A little too thick for my husband and my taste. The tortillas were great and defiantly house made. I had the beef brisket, grilled fish and turkey tacos. The brisket was a little dry but okay with some hot sauce. Turkey and fish tacos had good flavor. Charro beans were not hot. Had they been they might have tasted better. The worst of the night was the tres leches cake. The driest cake I have ever had. What kind of tres leches isn't moist. My kids eat anything and they left the entire thing on the plate. The server was okay. We had to ask her for things two and three times. She was nice enough. On a positive the salsa had good flavor. Will I come back ?? Probably not.
