Ive lived in East Mesa most of my life. JJ used to be a huge party spot, and it died down big time. Slowly but surely it is coming back though. The crowd is getting bigger and its getting younger again. Still has a ton of different beers on taps, also has a cooler for the beer snobs full of craft beer. JJ has recently also gotten a facelift inside, which has been taken care of a lot better. The food has gotten 10X better also. I never really had any complaints but they went above and beyond with the food. I had the broaster chicken one night and had to get a 2nd order because they were so damn good. Its still a divey bar in the area but you can always count on good people, cold beer and something always going on there. Also, beer is pretty damn cheap, even after happy hour you wont go broke tying one on.
