Attended the NKOTB Total Package Tour. We prepaid for parking when we bought our tickets and paid $12 to park at the Monte Carlo. The parking garage is right across the street from the main entrance of the arena so it was quick and easy. I noticed more police presence and K9 units roaming around outside the venue. Comforting after the senseless acts in Manchester last week. Once inside, we were in section 4, row R seats 17, 18. Great view but no bad view in the house for this event. There were 2 stages. The main stage and a smaller stage on the opposite end. 20oz Dasani water is $5. Not bad. But alcoholic drinks are ridiculously overpriced. $18 for a vodka tonic which was mostly ice. We tried a carne asada burrito at Chronic Tacos. It was not great. I recommend eating before arriving. Also, merchandise booths are available both downstairs and upstairs. We also found out that if you buy your tickets in section 5 or 6 you get access to the premium lounge which has its own private bar, tables and restrooms.
Went on February 25, 2017 for Bon Jovi THINFS Tour. We were told parking would be brutal do we were dropped off. Beautiful architecture and design. There was a merchandise booth prior to going? inside the arena, so we took advantage of the short lines there to purchase merch before going in. Despite the lines being long to go inside, they move fast and we were able to get in quickly. Once inside we went up escalators and headed to section 3 where our seats were. Now one of the ladies I was with has mobility issues and the steps down are quite steep. She did have a bit of difficulty going down to our row but made it ok taking her time and going slow with our physical support. We were in Row U Seats 1,2,3. Great view...until.....
Once the show got going, the way Bon Jovi had their stage set up, they had lighting structures that would move up and down depending on the song and sometimes during the song and the structure completely blocked out our view. Would've been nice to know we were buying obstructed view seats for $206.75! Still, the sound and acoustics of the venue was awesome. After the show, the same friend had trouble getting back up the steps. One of the ushers helped her which was really kind but then we ran into another Arena employee who was not so nice and was telling us to hurry up and move, we needed to get out. We tried to explain that our friend had mobility issues, she did not care. She told us to move faster or she would 86 us from the property. Apparently she believed or assumed our friend was walking slow from being drunk not from a disability. Rather than argue, I walked up ahead, found security and requested a wheelchair. Problem solved. They brought her a chair and accompanied her to the exit. There she had to exit the chair and the venue on her own but they were nice and offered suggestions as to where we could go wait to be picked up. They do not have a dedicated drop off or pick up area which would be nice especially for parents picking up kids after concerts since only casinos are around the venue.
