I started going here two years ago because a co-worker suggested Dr. Grade. However, I only got to see the nurse for most of my visits. I will add that the girl(s) at the front are rude and of little help. But let me get down to my reasoning for this 1 star review.
Dr. Grade suggested I go on progesterone pills to help with conception. I was then referred by the nurse to go to a fertility Dr. He learned I was on progesterone and could not figure out why Dr. Grade prescribed that and took me off of it. More to come on this.
I naturally got pregnant and went in for my 7 week ultrasound. I could tell by the questions the ultra sound tech asked me, there was concern. Sure enough there was no baby to be found. She said a few words and left my husband and I. I was a wreck. I managed to get dressed and we went into the exam room to wait...wait..wait for Dr. Grade. This was impossible. We just wanted to go and we were still waiting 15 minutes later. Then the front desk staff started playing music that at a time like this was too emotional. My husband went out and asked them to turn it off in our room and the girl replied, "the Dr's want it on". My husband finally went out to get the Dr. She came in and looked a mess and acted as if she were on meds. She had very little emotional concern for me and just told me all about how I need to have a d and c surgery in 2 days. She said she has this conversation 3 times per month. My feelings of being treated like a number in the process were immediately confirmed.
We ended up waiting a week to have the d and c done as it was just too quick to make any decisions. I asked ab other options and Dr. Grade quickly shot them down. I knew why when I saw the statement after the surgery with a bill for $15,000 for the d and c verses the other option at $500.
After the surgery there was no follow-up from Dr. Grades office. I went in a few days later for a follow-up that was a complete waste of time. My husband and I arrived to a waiting room full of pregnant women. I chose to sit in the parking lot and wait. Now waiting in the exam room for Dr. Grade for over 20 minutes. Again, my husband goes out to inquire and see's her showing pictures off of her cell to another staff member. He asked her if she would not mind stopping to come meet with us. She was a mess again. She asked me a few questions and that was it. All this could have been done with a phone call. Back to the progesterone part. I asked her if she thought progesterone would be a good idea in trying to conceive again. She clearly did not recall that she prescribed this for me before and replied, "no, It is just a placebo". I then inquired ab a referral for a midwife and she said, "we don't have midwifes in Scottsdale". AMAZING. Never once did she offer resources for the future or warn me of postpartum which I encountered severely.
Overall, this place is a mess. You are not cared about. You are money only.
