  • While the food was good, the service was lacking. We had a 5:30pm reservation and there were only three other tables with people at that time. I couldn't tell you the waiter's name because he never told us. Although he made a recommendation of one of the daily specials, he barely spoke to us and always seemed to be in a hurry to leave our table to do something else. We actually had to try to find him to order a second round of drinks and dinner and he never once came back to see how we were doing or if our food was ok. He didn't come back until we were done and the bus boy had cleared our table. Truly unacceptible. I will say the meatball appetizers was great! They clearly do veal well as there were four or five veal options. I had veal medallions which were one of the daily specials. They were extremely tender and great taste. The potatoes and asparagus were so-so. Normally we order desert, coffee or after dinner drinks, but opted to get the check and go since the service was lousy. It was also frustrating this parking lot had one handicapped parking spot right in front of the restaurant (family member in wheelchair) and right were the valet parking attendants stand. I asked if I could park there and the attendant told me he would park the car. A little annoying I have to tip someone to move my car five feet. And a little surprising the two valet attendants stood there chatting while I got the wheelchair out of the trunk. We valet the car often and most of the time the attendants help me with the chair, especially when we are dressed for dinner at a descent resteraunt. To sum it up, good food, but with all the options we have in Phoenix now, we won't waste our time going back to Tomaso's ever again.
