| - I don't know how anyone could rate this buffet anything less than 5 stars! Now that I have had tried several buffets throughout Vegas, I thought that I had already made up my mind about my favourite. WRONG.
While there are certain items that are better at other buffets (Like the Wynn's Gelato station and salads or the Paris' massive dessert section...macaroons, creme brulee... wow), I would still pick the Bellagio buffet because of its entrees. After all, the entrees are usually what I look forward to the most, rather than the appetizers & desserts.
We got there at 4:00, which was a shame because we could've come 30 min earlier to get the lunch price -- Oh well! We definitely ate over $36 of food anyway, so it was well worth it. We waited in line on Saturday evening for only 20-30 minutes around that time because we were tired / starving from Tao Beach. We just wanted to veg out! We got seated quickly and had our orders taken for drinks in a jiffy!
Swordfish, Quail, King Crab, Snow Crab, TUNA POKE... oh my god. Is this real life? I heard the Beef Wellington was quite good, but I'm not really a red meat / beef / pork kind of person, so I didn't try it as I did not want to waste any precious space in my stomach!
My point is -- you have to try it. Of course it's expensive, but it's up to you to make it worth it! The first two times I came to Vegas, I either went to a shitty buffet (Imperial Palace, which is worse than Fresh Choice / Souplantation), or I did not go to any buffet at all, which I greatly regret! Normal food in Vegas (not fast food) is expensive anyway, so I'd rather indulge a bit for a REAL meal.
I learned my lesson. Now I usually eat buffets around lunchtime and then I don't buy food for the rest of the day :) Yay!
