| - Dinner last night at Spoon was another exceptional experience. We each had the lamb gnocchi, which was pretty close to perfect. A unique aspect of the pasta was the portion size - it was not a small plate, as one reviewer claimed, but a proper, European portion, that allows for a constant BMI throughout a lifetime, rather than an American serving that results in a parabolic BMI graph versus time. In addition to the positive BMI effect, the eatable portion main leaves room for desert, which we typically can't handle. We shared the monkey bread, which contained no bread or monkey, and would be better named 'apple cobbler explosion'. It was just Ok.
Service and wine list were very good, and the bread, as everyone notes, is extraordinarily good. The room, being full, was a little crowded and pretty loud. Overall a very good experience which could only be improved by returning on a slow weekday.
