I have seen Cox overcharge customers for upgraded services without their consent. Here's what I've seen. A customer moves and after initial account activation, they set up autopay only to find that the plan they agreed to between $90-100 is billed at $140+ then over $300+ and unless you watch your charges you could experience huge bills that you never agreed to. And after hours of personal time getting this fixed they insist that your account remain with a credit rather than paying the money they essentially over-billed back. In my book this is essentially a version of theft. Good thing for streaming video which will put them out of business in the next few years.
