First of all, when I called to make the appointment the lady I talked to started questioning me as to why my doctor was sending me to get an ultrasound instead of a more advanced test. Um....I don't know ma'am. I just want to make an appointment! After a somewhat awkward conversation with her, I made my appointment for the next day.
Appointment time was 9:15 but I didn't get called back until 9:45. What was the point of making an appointment? I was much later to work as a a result of this.
My doctor had sent me there for an ultrasound. When I arrived the lady at the front desk told me she was going to also schedule me for a mammogram because I was getting to that age. This wasn't what my doctor had requested so I declined it.
When I was finally called to the back, I was again told that I needed the mammogram and I repeated the directives given to me by my doctor. I did get my ultrasound and everything was fine, thank goodness!
The whole experience was awkward and I felt pressured to get a procedure done that was not even necessary at this time.
