I guess I just don't care for "Mexican" in this manner, from the chain versions like Chipotle and and Qdoba to local versions like Habanero's and Mr. Torta's. Love the concept because I'm a fan of the order at the counter type of restaurant but this type of food just doesn't seem to do it for me.
For the name, Habanero's food was pretty bland. I guess I should have known ordering the chicken. Hubby got a mix of pull pork and spicy pork. He said the spicy pork was better -- I'm sure I would agreed. We both got the 3 tacos and thought the portion was generous. Also the guacamole seemed real so I was fine with the $1 up charge for it. Prices overall were reasonable.
The guys who put together our lunches seemed real nice and I do want to support what I think is a local business but I don't see us rushing back since as much as I try, this type of food just isn't my thing.
