We live very close and have no other place nearby for dinner/movie night. The theater as well as buffet shut down from 2:30-4:00 Friday/Saturday, just in the heat of the day when we want to go out. The theater is pitifully understaffed most of the time. The buffet is marginal (but it's marginally priced as well) with a very rude cashier. We ate at the Cafe ONCE and once only- it was awful. I order Iced Tea no lemon, burger medium rare no onion, chips. I got lemon, onion, more than well done (actual charring on the burger) and fries. It took quite a while to get our order for a not even half full restaurant. So- we stick to the so-so buffet where at least we know what we're getting and aren't waiting forever for what we didn't order. About the same $ anyway. We never see a cocktail waitress in the machines. I will say that the place is very clean and although the movie theater is frustrating to get tickets and treats, once in the seats are very comfortable and it's rarely crowded. Certain movies DO draw people who insist on bringing BABIES that cry throughout and the theater does nothing about this- but I think that's the same anywhere.
18+ movie times anyone? I'll pay extra to not have to listen to crying, talking, running, stomping, playing children during my movie. PLUS I bet they aren't paying for babies under 1 that aren't using a seat and obviously aren't watching the movie! Just too cheap for a sitter...
