I arrived on a Saturday night ready to try those renowned Huss brews, meandering through the side streets until I came upon the brew warehouse. To some, this setup may seem odd for a brewery. However, being from So Cal, I have grown to know it as the norm.
Upon entering, you notice both the massive size of the actual brewing space and the homey feel to the drinking area. TVs like the corners with tables around the room for groups. The bar has many seats and I was able to find an empty one without a problem.
Now onto the brews. My absolute favorite was the Coffee Kolsch, which is ironic as I absolutely hated all things coffee growing up. Something about this beer and coffee blending makes it absolutely heavenly. When I drink it, I tend to remember this tin sign I once saw--"Beer: it's what's for breakfast!" I seriously would consider such a notion! I also enjoyed That'll Do, Huss' signature IPA. A perfectly refreshing combo of hop quality and malt character.
With these great beers and stellar hospitality, I will be back for sure!
