I came in today to be seen for bronchitis. I have new insurance and do not have my card yet so offered to pay $200 upfront and call with my insurance information first thing tomorrow when it wasn't Easter Sunday. The very rude clerk said I could pay $150 Fee for all my care and that I could send claim in myself to UHC. I said that's fine but make sure they provider knows I have insurance so it wouldn't limit my care. The clerk then handed me a paper saying I could not bill my insurance or send a claim in completely contradicting everything she told me. When confronted she did not appear to understand. I do not think she deliberately lied but her lack of knowledge could cause major issues for patients especially those on fixed incomes. I asked for the complaint line and she gave me the wrong number also
