| - My husband recently went to 3 guys to get new eyeglasses, and I went along to make sure we stayed on budget and that they had our insurance info correct. I specifically told them that we didn't want a warranty on the eyeglasses we purchased. They said no problem, of course, etc. Then they handed us a credit card slip to sign and said the line item receipt would be emailed to us later. Good thing I took a close look at it because they had charged us for several things we didn't want or didn't know we were signing up for, including a warranty for the eyeglasses. When I called and pressed them about it, they said "You didn't want the warranty for the glasses, but you didn't say you didn't want the warranty for the lenses." Um, what? What the hell kind of shady shit is that? They had also added on $130 of some kind of coating that we didn't want on the glasses. I tried to straighten everything out over the phone but they said I had to come back into the store so they could physically run a return on my credit card. When I left work to come by the next day, their computers were mysteriously not working. At all. So I came by the day after that, determined to get the $150 they owed me returned on my card, and they were finally able to refund me, but not without giving me a hard time and arguing with me about the warranty business. So yeah, we liked the final product (I mean, they're eyeglasses), but I would not recommend 3 Guys to anyone else. My advice? Read your receipt carefully, and caveat emptor.
