  • I can not even begin to tell you how horrible this place is. Before we moved to Kansas City we lived in the Cleveland area. Our dog was vomiting and walking in circles. We took him to our vet immediately who said he needed specialized care and suggested Metropolitan Vet Hospital. We drove there and they examined our dog. They said they thought it may be encephalitis and suggested some sort of brain fluid tap. The cost would be $5000 up front! We questioned the vet some more and then she said it may just be an inner ear issue but they still needed to do the $5000 procedure first to rule that out. At that time our wonderful dog went in to seizures and died. They could have cared less. All they wanted was money and lots of it up front. They never treated him for anything else. Please stay away. There are better places that have compassion for animals and aren't all about the $$$$$. We called our vet afterwards and explained what happened. They were horrified and said they would never recommend them again and if they knew they were going to do this they would have never sent us there.
