  • I used First Choice Moving this past Saturday. I chose First Choice Moving because their Yelp reviews were good and their prices were reasonable. The service I received when I booked the move was great. There were some bumps in the road on moving day, but once I communicated the issues to the owner of the moving company, he was sincerely apologetic and he came to me with solutions that were completely reasonable. One of the movers, Jr., was fantastic. He was ready to roll, professional, and good to go from the minute that he arrived. Also fantastic, was Luis, the gentleman that I booked the move with in the beginning. The movers did take a lunch after they loaded the truck, but Jr. assured us that we wouldn't be charged for lunch, so there was no extra or hidden cost there. Jr. was also moving as quick as he could from what I could tell, so I wasn't concerned that he was taking his time for a bigger paycheck. It is worth noting that they will request an additional 3.5% for using a debit or credit card. However, if you pay with check or cash there is no additional fee. Since we didn't know how long our move would take in total, we did not take out cash because we didn't want to run to the bank at the end of the move. I would suggest making sure you have a blank check on hand for them. All in all, the reason for the 3-stars versus 4-stars is due to the fact that there were a few bumps in the road during the actual move. I honestly think my situation was just one of those "sometimes things out of our control happen" situations. Being an honest Yelper, it needs to be noted that it wasn't perfect. However, if it weren't for the owner making it right and assisting me with the concerns immediately, Id be much less impressed..
