Even though I have my dad's uncanny ability to navigate unfamiliar places, I never quite grasped his knack for automotive maintenance and repair. Sure, I can change a tire, top off my fluids and replace the wiper blades, but outside of that I am, embarrassingly, inept. So, you could imagine my hestitation to enter an establishment that practically has an alter to all things automotive and attempt to acquire the items necessary to keep my car functional--all without looking like a complete nancy.
However, the staff at Checker have always been helpful and never made me feel emasculated because I was clueless as to what bulb was needed to replace my headlight (or tail light...). Rather, they quickly cross reference my vehicle with their stock and walk me directly to the part. I'm sure they do with with everyone who comes in, and not just the ones who appear to be impotent in the auto zone.
