| - Glamsquad exceeded my expectations and then some. I initially called to get an appointment for them to do bridal hair and makeup less than a week away from the big day. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate me and set an appointment time. I used Paypal to pay the $25 deposit, and it was a very easy process. The price was very reasonable, especially considering they come to your hotel room (they were much cheaper than the hotel salon downstairs).
On the day of my appointment, the first stylist arrived promptly at 1:00 p.m. He prepped my hair with a hot iron, making it smooth and curly and sectioning it off to make it easier to style. He was fun to chat with and even gave my husband-to-be styling tips and advice on what kind of hair gel to use. After he left, the main stylist and his assistant arrived. They set up very quickly and had me sit in a special makeup chair they placed next to the window so they could get a lot of natural sunlight as they applied my makeup. I spent most of the time with my eyes closed as they dabbed and painted on my face. During some of the eye makeup application, you have to open your eyes and either look up or down, but most of the time you just relax with your eyes closed as they make the magic happen.
When they were done, I was a little nervous, as it was the first time I had professional make up and hair done. I looked in the mirror, and, wow, their work was phenomenal! The eye makeup was subtle and beautiful, making my eyes look larger and feminine. The false eyelashes were just the right length and really made the whole look "pop." I had asked for a vintage updo to match my cage veil and light gold makeup on the eyes and pink for the lips. Everything was as I wanted -- but better. They way they inserted the cage veil was even more dramatic than I thought possible. There was so much artistry in the makeup application, and the foundation was just the right color and applied with an expert hand. All my flaws were covered up but my makeup didn't look caked on or over the top. It was glowingly beautiful.
As the night wore on, the whole look lasted, from the eyelashes to the updo, and even the cage veil. I got so many compliments on how I looked.
I recommend Glamsquad to any bride who wants to look lovely, natural, and her absolute best. They really came through and I'm so happy to have so many pictures of the prettiest day of my life, thanks to Glamsquad.
