My family and I have been coming here for over 8 years, my mother is an owner. My husband and I were here this weekend for a presentation in an attempt to get us to buy in to a time share here. Our experience this time has been nothing short of awful, disappointing, not good at all.
Saturday afternoon we were walking back from the parking structure and walked by a unit where the occupants were smoking weed on the little patio and they had 40oz beer bottles all over the damned place. Tahiti Village likes to boast that they are a family facility. Well this is not what family facility means to me. This place has gone down hill since they have made it affordable for all the unsavory people to but in to it.
Yes, everyone deserves to go on vacation but don't impose your poor vocabulary on me and my family and do not try pushing my kids out of the way while you and your drunk "homeboys" do a inner tube conga line in the lazy river. This is not the sort of crowd that was here 8 years ago and this is not the sort of crowd that respectable owners will tolerate here. Sommerpoint property management is ruining a once fun and friendly family based facility.
Oh wait! I almost forgot to mention the fact that our dryer kept shutting off and maintenance had to come in 5 times to dry a part of the unit. We are just now getting the new dryer we have been asking for. I also had to buy a bottle of bleach to clean our shower as it had black and pink mold inside and on the outside. I included pictures of that.
If you do decide to visit, be prepared to make many many phone calls for pans, spatulas, dryer maintenance, and pots.
