  • Went to the 420 last evening with a friend. The place is nice, service great, though mind you it was empty. Here's the thing: the food was generally very good. The smoked meat sandwich my friend has was delicious as were the beans and corn bread. BUT: the ribs I ordered were dreadful. They were dry and tough. The rub was overpoweringly peppery covering any other flavours used. Maybe the ribs were leftover from Canada Day, who knows, but they were pretty dreadful. You can't call yourself a smokehouse with ribs like that. I did say something, but no one came out to chat with me.
