| - ZERO STARS!
This review is for the Wyndham time share promotion we encountered at the Excalibur Hotel, not the Linq. But, it is run by the same people, with the same unscrupulous practices.
They took us to this World Mark for the sales pitch.
The salespeople at the Excal look like hotel employees, which they are not. They promise the pitch will be brief because "they want you to leave happy and get back to gambling at the hotel fast." What a lie!
Next, they promise the presentation is "approximately 120 minutes" not including the bus ride. They told us it could be less if they finish early, but it would be a maximum of two hours (plus the ride). They said the property was just on the other side of Mandalay Bay. Well, it was 15 minutes past Mandalay Bay, for a total of 20 minutes each way.
The trouble is, when our 120 minutes plus 20 minutes was up, they wanted to keep us longer, claiming the 120 minutes begins when the presentation begins, which in our case was about a half hour after we arrived at World Mark. No! That's not what the paper we signed said. It clearly stated we would be there for 120, not including the bus ride.
So, Zero stars for deceptive, high-presure presentations. I will not buy or stay at any Wyndham-owned hotel in the future. They cannot be trusted.
Now, we did get tickets at Cirque du Soleil's Ka show. It is fabulous! The tickets did cost us $30 each, though. The show tickets were for sale on the street for $95 each that night, so we did get a good deal that way. You will have to decide if you want to spend over three hours! to get them.
Finally, the second prize was a return trip to Las Vegas: 3 days and 2 nights. The Excal sales rep indicated it would be at the club we were going to; but, I think it might be for somewhere else. In any case, she never said that we would have to endure another sales presentation. Deceptive practices. No thank you!
(Anyone wanting to start a class-action suit against these people, please message me; I will join!)
