I received a private message and later a phone call from this business telling me my review was unfair and I was unreasonable. They claimed they *do* actually do ladder work. This makes my encounter with their tech, who literally **walked off the job**, even more confusing. This is what I know:
--I made two appointments with this company.
--The first time they canceled.
--The second time the guy showed up and said he can't do the work and he refused the gig.
--Overall, from my first call to the time I had to scramble to find another vendor, I lost approx 3-4 weeks during the time my home warranty was expiring. (I told Just Air I was on a countdown for the warranty expiration when I first called.)
--No one at Just Air ever contacted me to say "oops" or "sorry" or "hey, we *can* do that" after their guy walked away. They only contacted me to yell at me when I pointed out their poor customer intake practices.
My family has been in the contracting business since the 1930's. Also, small business owners. Good customer service includes the vendor walking the customer through the process and asking key or critical questions when setting up a job. Leaving it to chance or on the shoulders of the customer (who just might be a first time homeowner, like me) is just sloppy. I lost several weeks when my home warranty was days from expiring. You bet I was disappointed that a basic thing like "where's your air conditioner located" wasn't asked. I figured they *all* carry ladders. What do I know? I'm the lay person. It's not my job to know their trade. And, perhaps, if someone had simply contacted me afterward and apologized, I'd not have even thought about posting something here.
I ended up getting another company (B&L) to come out and they went up to the roof without blinking an eye. B&L did a kick-butt inspection and a full report without any of the drama and they came out in just 2 day's time.
