  • I made a purchase of a few items about 4 weeks ago. 3 weeks ago I received the shipment with one of the items broken into multiple pieces. I called customer service and they were unable to locate a replacement as it was a clearance item. This item was purchased for a nominal price and I was told that they would credit my credit card for this amount and apologized for the inconvenience. A week later I notice no credit so I called back and spoke to another customer service rep. They said they saw where there should have been a credit issued and assured me it would be processed and I should see it in about a week. Here we are 3 weeks later and still no refund on my credit card. I called back today and was told by the 3rd person I've spoken to at customer service that they were waiting for me to ship the item back to them before issuing a credit. First of all, on the first call it was understood I would be disposing of this item as it would cost more to ship the item back than it would to issue a refund for the nominal amount I paid for it. Never until now was I told that I would need to send this item back as it went into the trash given the condition it was in when I received it. And no, I didn't take any pictures of it as I was never told to do this. Now I'm waiting on someone else to get involved to see what can be done about this and call me back. I doubt I'll hear from anyone as someone from accounting was supposed to call me back after my first call and I never heard from anyone weeks ago. Never have I experienced such a lack of ownership by a company that sells such high end goods as Arhaus. Ridiculously poor and slow customer service which will definitely influence my purchase decisions in the future from this retailer.
