  • I've had mixed experiences with various Phoenix AC companies that are assigned to me through OneGuard. You see, my air conditioner breaks every summer like clockwork. And I do mean every-freaking-summer! In fact, it's as if all of my appliances are fully aware that I'm on summer vacation, so they all decide to simultaneously break down and cause disruptions to my regular daily routines. Now, in most cases, once I found a company that worked fairly well, I specifically request that OneGuard keep assigning them to me due to them having the entire backstory on my past issues. However, after looking up this company on Yelp, I decided to take a chance and go with someone new. I put in a work order Sunday morning and received a call Sunday night, with the technician showing up early Monday morning. This time, the culprit was a dead blower motor, which was promptly replaced. The technician also noted that I needed about two pounds of coolant added, which to no surprise, my warranty people do not cover (as usual). However, the technician was prompt, professional, and fixed everything properly. For that, I have no complaints. Wait. So, why not the perfect five stars, you ask? I had a simple question about whether or not my blower motor could be adjusted. No one ever answers the phone, which is a big no-no for any business that wants to be considered legitimate. Five phone calls, four voicemails, four days, and only one callback (which I missed) and I couldn't get a basic question answered. I eventually had to call my warranty company and have the service representative contact them to get my question answered. When clients call me with questions, I answer-those-questions. It's not hard. Sheesh! But my AC is fixed and fixed properly, so I'll quit with the griping. But due to the poor communication, I'll probably stick with my preferred company in the future.
