The proceeds go to the temple, and the food is good/cheap. What's not to love?
Parking:
It gets pretty full, so come early if you want to park in the lot. There's residential parking nearby so it's not a big deal.
Notable things for the price:
Pad thai is good. It's $5 for the box, and you sign up with the lady behind the table. She did us a solid when we went up to check if ours was called. Turns out, we still had a few people ahead of us but she gave us the 2 boxes next to her anyway.
Saku sai moo (6 for $2). It's steamed tapioca starch with a traditionally fish sauce, peanut, etc filling. It comes with lettuce, cilantro, and a red pepper. Texture was chewy and soft. Its everything you would expect from steamed tapioca, but I'm partial...I love steamed tapioca in general.
Things we got:
pad thai ($5 a box)
Saku sai moo (6 for $2)
Thai iced tea ($2)
Sweetened roti ($1)
Skewers (4 for $5)
Overall, I enjoy coming here to have some good food and support the temple. It's reminding me that I probably need to visit my own temple.
P.S. Next one is 4/30/17 for those who are reading this in March/early April. It's usually the last Sunday of every month.
