| - While I was am waiting, one gentlemen came in and tried to use prepay UPS account (corporate) and was told that the steep handling fee still applied or they would not ship is box.
Shortly there after a couple came in and tried to send clothing in a box 1/2 the size of a shoe box and was told that they would have to pay the UPS shipping fee plus the "handing fee". If memory serves me, the "handling fee" nearly doubled their shipping cost.
In both cases the customers reaction was basically "What the?!"
So when it came time to ship my boxes back out, I got a Lyft and rolled a couple of miles off the strip, in town, to a very friendly The UPS Store who simply took my corporate UPS shipping, asked if there was anything else he could do, then wished me a safe trip home. There was no extra fee, just like any normal The UPS Store in the country.
I've never had anything shipped to a hotel where I had to pay ransom to receive my package/box. Whether it is the "Linq Hotel" or your "The UPS Store" or a bit of "corporate collusion", it is immaterial as it won't happen again.
If you look at the reviews of "The UPS Store" for those on "the strip" you will see a common theme:
(each yelp below referencing the "handing fee")

And based upon this experience, it is clear that it is not in my organization's best interest, nor fiscally responsible, to use UPS.
