This place is way overrated.
I came here with my significant other for happy hour and the entire food menu was half off. And even at half off, some of the dishes were extremely overpriced. Yes, like everyone else says, the portions are tiny. This is what we tried:
-Pig Face Croquettes $13: The only dish we were impressed with. You get 3 golf-ball-sized pieces of fried goodness laying in a bed of aoili.
-Butternut Squash Soup $10: Creamy and on the thicker side, which is a texture I like, but the flavor was bland.
-Kale Salad $10: The dressing was very sour....it was like eating kale doused in lemon juice.
-Smoked Eggplant $10: This was weird....room temperature eggplant topped with a very salty sauce. I can't tell what the sauce tasted like.
-Hanger Steak $23: I didn't try this but my dining partner just said, "it's okay."
-Gemilli Pasta $19: This was literally a small bowl of pasta tossed with a tiny bit of pesto sauce and topped with an even tinier bit of cheese. Even at half off I thought this was ridiculously priced.
The service is not at all attentive even in a non-busy restaurant. The concept here is that everyone is salaried so they do not accept gratuity, and that was clear from tonight's dining experience. Sure, they weren't rude, but it was very impersonal and half-hearted service.
We didn't get any alcoholic beverages but the cocktails other people around us were getting looked good.
