Thought I'd try the Scottsdale Road location after a bad experience last month at the Northsight location. Whatever problems I might have had with Danny's in the past it was never about the quality of the car wash. Regrettably I can't say that about the Jackson's experience recently. After the vacuum station my car and three others sat at the beginning of the "tunnel" because the one person who was doing the tires had run off to talk with the driver of a car which drove by on Tierra Buena. Because he didn't return, another young man hand washing another car noticed the problem and came over and cleaned the tires. After the wash when I drove away there was an unmistakable haze on the inside of the windshield. I returned and someone cleaned it. I later noticed numerous water spots on the finish, the outside mirrors and a lot of bug residue on the front of the car and the windshield. I didn't bother to have them run the car through again.
My interest is not simply to complain (because that seldom helps) but to make sure the new owners recognize that work needs to be done. I can't imagine the difficulties they face in the transition from Danny's but the solution to the myriad problems may start with management at the local store level. Nobody seems to care about the quality of the product and the industry (or lack of it) shown by some of the workers. There are long-standing employment issues here to be sure, but both the locations I mentioned are woefully understaffed. I don't think this is the time to score big profits. Maybe after some the problems are solved. Accepting a lower profit margin and hiring the right kind of people should work for now. Or closing one or more of the locations, but I hope that won't happen.
I wish I could be more helpful and not just complain but I sincerely hope that this gets straightened out. And soon, before more and more people go elsewhere. I'm not one of them.....yet.
