| - Courier Cafe is a no-frills, simple food at decent prices kind of place.
Service was sweet (+1 star), and there seemed to be a lot of elderly regulars hanging out, which made the waitresses have zero urgency. I definitely would have preferred something at a quicker pace, but that's because we had plans afterwards. Come here when you're at more of a leisurely pace.
I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki sandwich and asked for advice on bread choice. She said she loved Multigrain so I went with it! I regret not taking a picture, but it was simply two pieces of bread, slightly toasted, with a piece of grilled chicken on top. No lettuce, tomatoes, pickle, cheese, mayo, NADA. I used the thousand island dressing from my boyfriend's sandwich and ketchup (yes, desperate times call for desperate measures) to flavor my sandwich. Fries- aka potato wedges- were $1 (+1 star because I LOVE potato wedges). My boyfriend and I split them, but the portion was small and I should have just gotten my own.
The milkshakes though- THE BOMB DOT COM. We ordered a chocolate milkshake and it was thick and luscious (+1 star). Better than other milkshakes I've had at an ice cream shoppe that specializes in them!
Would I come back to Courier Cafe? ABSOLUTELY for their milkshakes; I would skip lunch next time though!
