I'd had an RCA indoor/outdoor antenna sitting in the living room for a while now, and finally got around to getting it put up on the roof. You'd think there'd be more people in the phone book that install TV antennas, but these guys and one or two others were the only listings.
Looks like the cable companies and their pimps (the salesmen at Future Shop, Best Buy, et al.) have done a pretty good job in suppressing the fact that you can get plenty of digital channels for free over the air with a half-decent antenna.
Anyway, the MacDonald guys quoted a better price than the competition, and were able to come over in a reasonable amount of time; they had a bit of a backlog, thanks to bad weather in the previous days. It took about two hours for the installation, and now I've got 20 digital channels (including all the American channels out of Buffalo) as opposed to 5.
