  • I visited 889 Yonge because I purchased a Groupon deal for a facial. In some of my past experiences with these types of spa deals, I've found that the some of the spas end up 'cutting corners' on some of their services, thereby compromising the all-round experience probably because the client is paying so little. Not to mention the back-log of appointments - previously I had to wait 2 months to use a Groupon because the spa was completely overwhelmed with requests for appointments. However, my Groupon experience with 889 Yonge was the total opposite! That place rocks! The almost 2 hours I spent there were so relaxing, right from the beginning to end. The counter staff were so pleasant and polite. Pauline who actually did the facial for me was amazing as she thoroughly explained to me every step of the process. Also, 889 Yonge's facials are typically 75min rather than the conventional 60min to allow for extra time - if you've ever gone for a facial, then you will know that 15min more makes a difference! Furthermore, the added shoulder/neck massage and the head massage are added bonuses. Overall, I was completely blown away by the quality of the services and products, the professionalism of the staff, the cleanliness of the space and also my facialist's competency. I would recommend this spa to anyone as you are getting top-notch services for your dollar. 5 stars all the way!
