| - I note that there are several negative reviews of Thomas Dermatology on this website, but this certainly has not been my experience. I have had experience with two dermatology practices in San Francisco before moving to Las Vegas. For the last three years, my wife and I have seen Christine Crovetti for several health issues. Over the last three years Christine has correctly diagnosed two basal cell carcinomas on my face, which were both removed by Robert Liberman. I also had an inflamed seborrheic Kerratosis. Christine was able to diagnose accurately and timely all three conditions, for which I was very grateful. I see her every six months for continued monitoring. She is extremely knowledgeable and her diagnoses are spot on. She was highly recommended by my primary care physician. She is also very patient and listens carefully to all symptoms presented by her clients. She does not jump to any immediate conclusions. Her diagnoses are based on a rational approach to what has caused the skin condition and how best to treat it. She will often refer me to, and explain, a recent article in a medical journal to support her conclusion, making me feel part of the process. She is careful to explain exactly why she has settled on a particular diagnosis. When my wife suffered from a skin condition, I immediately made an appointment to have her see Christine. We were able to see Christine the same day we made the appointment, because of a cancellation. I guess we were just lucky. Finally, I have never been over billed my Thomas Dermatology. Except for a reasonable deductible and co-pay, the costs of our visits have been picked up entirely by our insurance companies. Again, I am sure this is not true for all of Christine's clients, but the costs of our visits are very reasonable. While the criticism of Thomas Dermatology seem to center on making appointments, the personality of the staff, and billing issues, by far the most important issue to me is the ability of the medical staff to correctly diagnose a skin condition and treat it in order to bring about a successful outcome. On the criteria, I would give Christine Crovetti and Robert Lieberman a ten out of ten.
