| - Wonderful experience!!
This office is so professional, and the surgeon, Dr. Barroner, is very skilled. I had to have a molar extracted due to extensive decay, and that made me feel scared about the pain, sad at losing the tooth, and mad at myself for not taking better care of the tooth, all of which made me have high anxiety about going in to the office. Everyone at the office was so caring and put me right at ease. They were very kind and accommodating even though I was a bit disorganized with my paperwork.
The building is in a lovely countryside setting, and it is beautifully decorated, modern, and immaculately clean, with all the latest equipment.
I was especially impressed with the surgeon and her assistant. They really showed their skill and caring during the procedure, making sure the area was properly numb, explaining what they were doing so there would be no surprises, and checking in with me about my comfort throughout. I was happy to note that I didn't feel any pain during the procedure, and it was pretty quick. Then they carefully went over aftercare instructions with me and called in a prescription for antimicrobial mouthwash to my pharmacy.
The surgeon personally called me later that evening to follow up, and five days later another staff member called to make sure the healing was still going well and to see if I had any questions or issues.
I followed their instructions for taking care of the area and for pain relief, and the site healed up perfectly with just a little moderate discomfort during the healing process.
I highly recommend this office to anyone who needs oral surgery. The experience was the exact opposite of the horrible experience I had (at Pittsburgh Oral Surgery, PC -see my other review) the last time I needed to have a tooth pulled.
I hope I never need to have any other teeth removed, but I know I will be going to Elevated Oral & Implant Surgery next year to get implants in the two spots where I had extractions, and I'm telling my dentist that they should refer people here for surgery.
