I was traveling through the Utah/Nevada area in an RV. A truck driver at a truck stop made a comment about one of my tires which appeared deformed to him. I took down the tire info and called the Ted Wiens shop on E. Craig Rd to ask for advice. They supplied the shop address and told me to bring the RV on by for an examination. My Rv is 40' long and being pulled by a dually; they had the foresight to recommend directions to get into their maintenance bay without issue.
Upon arrival 2 hours later, Lance was on top of the situation. He and another gentleman examined all of my tires. It was determined that one of the tires had worn down on one side into the wear line which made the tire "appear" to be wearing badly, but is simply normal for an RV of it's size and triple axle configuration. Let me be honest; these guys could easily have told me that 4 tires were shot and in need of immediate replacement. They didn't.
They were honest, professional, and gave me their honest opinion as though the trailer was their own. They even examined my spare in order to give me the peace of mind that I could continue on my travels to Tucson, Az and not need to worry about tire troubles.
To summarize, all of my tires were in good shape, safe, and NOT in need of replacement.
Had I chosen to purchase a replacement, they had a number of equivalent tires in stock and the going rate for an installation was $15.
These folks were professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and honest. I would gladly send my mother to these guys for anything tire-related.
