The lobby of the Bellagio is home to the magnificent Fiori de Como, which means "Flowers of Como", a massive chandelier sculpture comprised of 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers of every color and is a fascinating sight to see.
Created by glass sculpture artist Dale Chihuly, it took 2 years to complete with more than 100 professional glassblowers, engineers, architects and installers.
Using 10,000 pounds of steel and 40,000 pounds of hand-blown glass, the sculptures are on the ceiling and completed in 1998. One of the coolest art installations in Las Vegas. My wife is mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the Fiori de Como every time we see it.
