I don't expect much from a hotel, but I do expect that when things go wrong that I get some sort of compensation. Three things were wrong with our room. 1- I was ironing my boyfriend's white shirt and the iron starting spitting brown liquid out onto in. Luckily I got the stains out by quickly running into the washroom and scrubbing it. A new iron was brought to our room. 2- The room was stupid hot and the thermostat did nothing to fix it. We were given a small (yet effective) fan to blow on us to cool us. 3- the olympics were on and we wanted to watch them, so on our third and final night we turned the TV on... To find it didn't work. Elvis, the Maintence man, couldn't fix it (although he was very nice and funny).
So, we were given a new (downgraded) room. If I have to pack up my things to move to get the service you promised, I expect either a side-grade with some free coffee or something or an upgrade. Seems pretty standard to me.
Rooms were clean.
