So my husband and I were needing to purchase a Tacoma for our son who just received his drivers license. We went to three different dealerships who had pretty much the same truck and had quoted pricing pretty much the same.
My son decided to go over to Riverview Toyota to ask the salesperson if he could look on the inside of the truck and he was told that he couldn't even open the door for him to sit in because he couldn't legally buy a car.
He wound up leaving and going to another store that we shopped as well (who were slightly more expensive) asked the same question and was not only allowed to sit in the truck but also able to look at other vehicles on the lot and was given a tour of both parts and service.
He came home a little miffed and told us about this so I decided to write the owner at Riverview Toyota so I went to they're website and was trying to get an email for the owner and on their "Meet the Staff" page I found something both funny and worrisome. 1st thing is that everyone has an email address except for the General Manager (Owner?) Rich Smith who appears not too interested to receive emails but his Bio on the website is as Follows;
"If you build an army of 100 lions and their leader is a dog, in any battle , the lions will fail. But if you build an army of a 100 dogs and their leader is a lion, all the dogs will fight like a lion and succeed." This is just a small sample of what our leader does for this company. He cares for his employees and values our customers, the two things that cannot be over looked. This is why he is the foundation that makes this dealership an amazing place to work and purchase a vehicle from.
I have no idea how this makes any sense; Do they equivocate selling to some kind of war? We made our purchase elsewhere after reading that.
In conclusion, I can't give one star, it would not be fair to the person who helped us so I've decided on 3 stars. I would have liked to have given more however the way my son was treated was like the dog being killed by the lion, because that's what happens when dogs and lions fight. Lion wins, every time..
