  • Stopped here for a late lunch on a sweltering Monday afternoon. It's a small shop with maximized seating, just across the street from the library and streetcar downtown. I was thrilled to not have to pay for parking, as they have a small area on the south end for parallel parking. Everything was incredibly clean and cared-for. When I saw Japanese curry on the menu, I almost cried from happiness. With a small fountain drink, my total was under $8. Although it's not the best Japanese curry I've ever had, it was still delicious. I found the curry flavor itself to be a little...watered down. Japanese curry is more mild and savory than other curry styles, so a slightly higher concentration of the curry in the sauce would have knocked my lunch out of the park. I didn't know this until after the fact, but you can request heat levels here, and they also have shakers on the table to customize the degree of spiciness.
