  • It's hard to find good fish and chip restaurants in the city. No one wants supermarket Captain Whatever TV dinner stuff. Stopped in at Halibut House on Lake Shore Etobicoke for the Special, Haddock & Chips Take out for only $7. Sunday and Monday. At that price you can't expect much but It was delicious. It was all freshly made, full size meal, not greasy, and the service was fast. I was surprised how good the chips were. Lightly cooked in fresh oil. Perfect. I will be a regular customer. Because Yelp uses automated software to filter reviews, sometimes good reviews are put in the hidden section at the bottom.Not sure why.
