  • Came with a group of friends for the first time on a saturday night. I look forward to returning in the near future :) Whether with a group, or if it's just me solo, or in the late afternoon. RSVPed a dart machine that same saturday afternoon. They hold RSVPs for a half hour only. RSVP was good for 2hrs. One drink minimum per guest. We were there from 9-11:30 ish. Pretty desolate before 10. Sudden rush of customers around 10-10:30. DJ was present and prepping on his laptop even before we got there, but didn't start "spinning" until 10:30.... He kept playing the same industrial music. I personally thought he was terrible for that day & hour & venue. Like a typical saturday night in a sports-related venue in Canada, the TVs were showing hockey games :) Arcade dart machines needed $10 deposits and each 3-dart set required a $5 deposit. All refunded in full at the end of the night when satisfactorily returned. Just head to the counter to get fresh dart tips to replace your broken ones. (We went through a lot lol). Each player needs $1 exact change to play a game on a dart machine. Counter has looney stacks if you want to break bills. Games differ in length. Really good bang for buck if you ask me. Lots of fun. Pretty steep learning curve technique-wise and in terms of rules of the game. Wished there were instruction booklets on all the various arcade dart games though. Pretty difficult for a beginner to learn dart game variations in a noisy and dark place simply through word of mouth. The dart lanes were fairly narrow because they group 3 arcade machines together in a block. Not really enough room for the player returning from taking their darts off the board and the next player on deck to be simultaneously in the same lane. Good thing the dart tips are synthetic and not life-like metal ones, or the narrow lanes might cause some people to lose an eye or two... Since the tips also tend to break (due to poor technique?) and were pitch black, it was really difficult to swap in new tips in such a dark place -- especially if you might be intoxicated. Would be really awesome if the tips glowed in the dark :D iDarts is on the 2nd floor of the building. Used to be a billiards place. Bar at the back. Tapas lounge next door. 2 beer pong tables. Large empty spaces. Chairs, some couches, and table tops a plenty for chilling and mingling and even table-top card games. Customizable and entertaining drinks available upon request by the bar. Pretty courteous and helpful staff. Lots of free parking available. Parking lot tends to have police cruisers spotting for possible DUIers stumbling their way out of this building housing TakeOne and iDarts after midnight.
