  • I relocated here from the East Coast about a year and half ago. I finally made my way to Christian Central Church last summer. I can not say enough positive things about it. The music and preaching is awesome. I feel like I have found my home at Central. Believe me when I say I have been to many church's and nothing compares to Central. Their slogan is... "It's okay to not be okay." Something that means the world to me. I feel accepted and loved at this Church. I can say if you are not into loud music and a more modern approach to preaching, this isn't the church for you. For me, the music and preaching style is right up my alley. It is truly amazing. At times, you feel like you are at a concert. Some may not like that. I respect everyone's ideas of what they look for in a church. There is no one size fits all. I like that they are not all about the money. A lot of churches ask so much and spend 30 minutes talking about that very subject. Central doesn't. It is always on my heart to give what I can, though. Of course they do have a offering but they empthasize that guest are not required to give. It is for people who call Central home. The fact is there are offerings at EVERY church. Central does not push offerings in my opinion. Believe me. As stated before, I have lived numerous places and all they cared about was offerings. I have read a review here on Yelp that they single out new people. I do not agree. They do not make you stand up, raise your hand or anything of that nature. They have a section for guest where they can talk to you in the front and a free gift if you want. However, you do NOT have to even go there before or after service. They do not hound you. Honestly, noone will know if you are a guest or not. I am still going to Central since summer 2014 and noone has yet to single me out. I signed up for First Step which is this weekend. The weekend of February 7th. They have a Central Kidz section and a Fuse HighSchool section as well for your children. They have a lot of parking. They even have people driving in golf carts to pick you up for free if you park too far and it is cold etc When you leave, they have people waving goodbye while directing you where to go. Just in general, it is a great place to be. People are super friendly without being over the top. If you want to come and not be bothered, you won't be. I pretty much have kept to myself. First Step will be the first time I have branched out in months of attending Central. I believe God let me here to Central as crazy as it sounds! I actually look forward to service every week. It is not a chore to go. Wanting to go verses being obligated to go is major for me. I believe the leaders at Central are amazing as well. They can speak to you in a way that truly touches you. I do not know many churches that you can come as you are. Literally! Addicts, broken people, messy people you name it. Everyone is welcome. Noone is judged. Noone is looked at funny. I will never forget how Central has touched and is changing me. Honestly, if you would of told me I would be into Church like this years ago I would of said you are crazy. I had no idea the impact Central would have on my life. I am a work in progress as I did not grow up religious. In HS, I found a church and attented on my own accord. My family never came with me. Since graduating HS in 1998, I have been searching for a church while living in many places including overseas. We decided to settle in Las Vegas. More like all roads let me here. Sometimes I wonder in the grand scheme of things if I was meant to find Central. I want to strengthen my relationship with God and I believe Central is helping me do just that.
