I finally was able to try this place. It's in downtown Las Vegas and I had been wanting to go here forever.
It took a while to find because it is inside an old motel that I thought was still abandoned. I feel like this is part of specialness of this place. You feel accomplished once you find it and feel like you are in on the secret of where it is located.
Their menu is a bunch of small plates that are meant to share with a large party. They also have a few items, such as their burger, that weren't mean to for sharing.
You have to have an open mind and not be a picky eater to eat here. They have a lot of different yet delicious pairings.
It is a bit on the pricy side but if you go with a large group of people I feel like the cost will even itself out. Since it was only my uncle and I it felt a bit pricy and I felt a bit cheated with going with only two people because I couldn't try as much. Next time I come I would like to come with a larger party.
I would have to say the best item I tried was the bacon jam. I'm not even a big bacon fan (yes, I know, I'm weird) but I really loved this dish. It had brie cheese on top and you were able to spread the jam on bread that accompanied the dish. It kind of tasted like smoked meat and was delicious. I would definitely get this again.
I also ordered the mac and cheese. It was good but very heavy. I feel like I would have been fine with just a scoop because of how heavy it was. I feel like this would be a good dish to get with a larger group of people.
We also ordered the devil eggs which were just meh. I have had better and would recommend trying something else.
Overall I had a great experience. A tad on the pricy side but then again it is downtown. I would try this place again once I've gone to a few other DT restaurants.
