Dined at Mastro's ocean club this evening looking forward to a good piece of fish. I ordered the featured fish Halibut this evening. You have 4 ways to have your fish prepared, baked, pan fried, blackened or "Oreganato" which was described to me as lightly breaded fish with melted butter. That did not sound good to me! Thinking that I was safe having the fish prepared blackened, well I was wrong. The blackened fish had no seasoning and my fish was dry and over cooked. They actually served some form of tarter sauce on the side. Which was not what I usually would have had with a nice piece of fish. Our server was not very helpful and we really felt that the place was way overpriced and our food was typical chain restaurant caliber. No creativity! If you like good quality food with a knowledgeable server who knows what good food is, don't go here!
