Found Charlie through a neighborhood networking app/site. Looked him up on yelp and he had great reviews so I thought why not give the guy a call everybody seems to like him. I liked him too, he's a very nice guy! I had him diagnose two fireplaces, the first one was just minus some batteries for the remote so I felt a little foolish there but my bad! The second one needed work Charlie said was a main ignition control valve which he did not have so he said he needed to take it back to his shop to makeshift something for it and then bring the entire inner workings back as he was going to take them with him and it was gonna cost me about $650. And I already paid him $100 for the diagnoses. I told him I think I need to look around and he said "go ahead but the next person is just gonna want $850 but ok". I then got referred to another company and it was not what Charlie said it was at all and actually a different part and it was $185 flat out the door. I know Charlie knows what he's doing so I'm not sure what this whole thing was about and I would hate to think it has something to do with the neighborhood I live in
