| - Came for a simple oil change and tire rotation. And while the overall experience for the most part was uneventful, I was a bit perturbed when the service adviser came out and told me that I had a lug nut "missing" from the drivers side rear wheel and that it was going to cost me something like $10 bucks for the part and $50-60 bucks for the labor. I knew this was impossible as I just finished detailing my vehicle the night before and would have noticed a lug nut missing. I don't know if the adviser was prepared for me to press the issue and not just accept what he was telling me as fact, but when I started asking additional questions, I was advised "those were the notes from the technician" working on my vehicle. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the lug nut was NOT actually missing, but rather "stripped (see pic) from the previous person who put my wheel on." In all fairness, while I cannot prove Big Two broke/stripped my lug nut/post (my word vs. theirs), I do not appreciate the story changing...or as they called it "miscommunication." Having already been at the dealership for two hours, I just paid for this additional repair as I had to get back to work. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have told the adviser I was about to take a long road trip, but I digress. It would have been fair to have received a discount on the labor rate as the wheels were already off the vehicle and supposedly getting a rear brake adjustment as part of the tire rotation service. Hopefully, others who are having funky issues like this will post their experience to see if there is a bigger conspiracy going on.
