| - On my short and fun weekend in Montreal, aside from the poutine - Kem CoBa is one of the many things I miss. From the yelp review, I completely get that this place is good. But I thought hey, it's an ice-cream place. It'll be good, but not THAT good. All day we were talking about getting ice cream from here. Finally, we dragged our asses out to find a long line of locals and tourists alike. I took one look at the menu and witnessed some unusual flavor. So maybe, this place isn't as generic as I thought. Not. Generic. At. All.
The line actually goes by really quick. The anticipating part is waiting and waiting, with people eating the ice cream around you. It took us a while to realize, but the logo has a little Vietnamese girl in it. It explains the eccentricity. Finally, when my friends and I reached the counter - I had to try several flavor before settling down. I couldn't understand what La Dua was until I tried it - PANDAN JELLY! One of the many deliciously fresh ingredients in Che. I got a cup with La Dua and the Vietnamese Coffee. We went off our way and never looked back. Just kept slurping, and slurping. Now, I just have to plan my return trip so I can get me some more La Dua ice cream (and poutine!).
